Early Career
Bright has led significant modernization initiatives designed to move organizations from
fragmented, manual processes toward integrated, data-driven operating environments.
His work has included implementing modern expense and procurement technology, redesigning
financial workflows, strengthening internal controls, improving executive and board reporting,
supporting ERP transformation, and developing financial models that enable leaders to make
better strategic decisions.
At Simmons College of Kentucky, Bright helped advance the institution’s financial and
operational modernization, including implementation of Ramp, procurement and workflow
optimization, strengthening financial governance, Title III financial management, capital
financing initiatives, and strategic institutional planning.
He also helped lead institutional initiatives associated with UNCF membership, the HBCU
Capital Financing Program, and HUD-related funding and development opportunities.
